Bear-y guided tour of Bern

In Bern, everything dances to the bear’s tune. Bern’s heraldic animal catches the eye wherever you go – as a chocolate bear, adorning the facades of buildings, carved in wood, as a fountain statue, on a clock or on gingerbread. And in the Bear Park on the Aare bank, you can even admire an entire family of real-live bears cavorting in their spacious enclosure. Why is the bear a Bern landmark?
